Driven by close relationships, memories, and a sense of belonging I create replicated objects, repetition of images, and recreation of memory or feelings. My practice surrounds itself around the idea of careful thought of my personal world. It gives me the time and place to process, remember and explore the things that drive me to make and be.

Place, location, and environment play a part in my work. Representational images and photographs, found and taken, are an interest in my work. Labor intensive processes such as embroidery and paper construction show my hand and time in the work. Fiber work, such as embroidery and sewing give a tactile aspect to my work. Bookmaking gives a series of planes to work on, while being one piece. The multiplicity it presents gives an idea time to spread out, repeat, or add up with one another.

My work is a series of quiet explorations of my surroundings and past. They are investigations connecting small pieces of labor, care, and intentional thought that lead to finding meaning behind big picture thoughts. These works allow room for words like mother, home, belonging, and relationship to surpass their connotations and tell a story through time and the process of thought.
